Good signing provided it's for the vet minimum. Sanu's the reliable veteran presence we'll need for our receiving corps just like Sanders. If he doesn't produce on the field, at least he could help develop Aiyuk like Sanders did for Deebo.
Yeah, except he is nowhere as successful as Sanders. And I don't see that work ethic either. So, it's hard for me to comprehend how he can be a reliable veteran presence, for our receiving corps, like Sanders
I think we're fine in the work ethic department-you don't last long in the NFL and have a guy like Shanahan give you a call if there are work ethic issues. On the successful career-yes he does not have as good of a career as Sanders as had, but we're not looking for a star wideout here. We just need a guy that can catch the ball reliably and move the chains, and Sanu can probably still do that.
It's not like Sanders was some world beater. He had 800 yards in 17 games last year. Sanu won't wow anyone, but given our dollar store budget, he's a great addition.
We need the help and he has experience with Shanahans offense; he should be able to come in and contribute. Luckily our next three games are very winnable.
No downside type of signing. Garropolo needs a solid reliable WR to build confidence and the rest of the WRs need that too. Once a rhythm starts that confidence spreads.
In a sense, yes, there is no downside; vet minimum and we are not trading for him nor are we cutting a player to make space for him. In that sense I find it acceptable
I love it. I was watching highlights from Atlanta, and he gives us a veteran, reliable, big target over the middle. This is a long play IMO. Once Deebo and Aiyuk are full go, they will open up the middle for Sanu and Kittle.
I'm sorry but I'm not particularly enthused by Kyle bringing another of his guys because he played in his system some years back. We saw that with Toilolo the TE or Tevin Coleman. Nothing special except that they know the system.
Trent is a different case. Look closely the guys we bring in - most of them would have played for Atlanta or Cleveland (both places where Shanny coached) or Detroit (Martin Mayhew or Kris Kocurek connection)
Why is Trent a different case, he played for Shanny in Washington? And what is wrong with Coleman and Toilolo? Coleman was brought in to take most of the abuse of running up the middle so that Breida and Mostert didn't take that abuse last season and he did it very well. Toilolo was brought in to be a back-up TE and that is what he was, he wasn't brought in to challenge Kittle for the starting job. Why wouldn't you bring in guys that your staff is familiar with? You know that they have the character that you want for the locker room and you know that they are the type of hard working player that you want and they already know the system, so it seems like the smartest way to go in my opinion.
Except Coleman has had some good games actually. Also, Sanu is a low cost option and teams aren’t trading away stars in week 2, let’s be realistic here.
NOOOOOO!!! GOD NO!!!! EVERYONE IS DEAD!!!!
lmao 🤣
Germ screaming everyone is dead is the most normal thing about this season so far
So seriously come on let’s go people. Get in here . It’s time

Yup - he will catch at least one slant a game haha

What about Trent Williams, he was another of Kyle's guys?

My phone just autocorrected Sanu to Anus... So I'm guessing it's not a fan of the signing. 😂
Your phone certainly reared its ugly head on that one.
BREAKING: Richard Sherman is dead, Akhello is dead, our season is over
And we face the ageless Gore, who might yet gash us for a 100 yards
I'm more ok with that than I should be
This is a good signing if we are bringing him in to be the #3 or 4 WR. I hope they don't excpect E Sanders 2.0
Not a terrible signing since he doesn’t replace anyone; he can hold the fort down until Deebo can return...
