Rejoice! Help has arrived for this talent starved WR corps, in the shape of one veteran WR in Mohamed Sanu. Sanu was traded from Atlanta to New England for a 2nd round pick last season, and was subsequently released by the Pats just before this season began. Sanu previously has played with the Falcons, and Bengals, and has experience in this scheme, he can start Day One if need be. Sanu had 653 receiving yards in his final season under Shanahan, while serving as the #2 WR behind the incomparable Julio Jones.
While he is not a savior in any bit, he will help alleviate WR concerns, at least til Deebo Samuel gets healthy and Jimmy Garoppolo can get into rhythm with his other WRs, Trent Taylor, Bourne, and Pettis all stand to gain, not lose from this. Sanu is also known for his arm ironically, as he is one of the best non-QB throwers in the league - expect some trickery, maybe?
Mohamed Sanu had 520 total receiving yards and 2 TDs while he bounced from the Falcons to the Patriots - in 12 games. 59 receptions as well, he is a sure-handed route runner, who won’t have many big plays but is reliable as an outside WR. He had a 58.8 PFF grade last season. He won’t take up a new roster spot:

Reliable, cheap, and a no-brainer for Shanalynch and Co. He won’t be Emmanuel Sanders, but the 49ers don’t need him to be that.
Good signing provided it's for the vet minimum. Sanu's the reliable veteran presence we'll need for our receiving corps just like Sanders. If he doesn't produce on the field, at least he could help develop Aiyuk like Sanders did for Deebo.
So seriously come on let’s go people. Get in here . It’s time
