Great stuff, as always! With all the crazy takes borne out of Shanahan & Lynch's comments this week, this is a good reminder that nothing has really changed, and that they said exactly what you'd expect them to say in their respective positions.

KS and Jl are like JimmyG, good enough to have winning season, but unable to win a SB. Very good for the most part of their jobs, but with too much major mistakes at the worst time. They had very good draft overall, but S. Thomas, Foster, Kinlaw and McGlinchey are maybe the worst 1st round players ever selected in a so short time span (and is Aiyuk a real WR1 ? still questionable). They were very good at building a SB roster, but they missed about too much key players expecially for bad injuries, and it is bad luck one time, maybe two, but not so often.

Abot the QB position... after 5 years it is still a complete mess. They spent very big for Trey and then they didn't play him, they payed an insane amount of money for JimmyG knowing he is unable to win when it matters most, and it is exactly what happened. Wasting money, draft capital and developing time for a QB selected at 3 with a very big trade up are too big mistakes for a SB win. They are lucky though, they were lucky with Kittle, Warner, and more with Purdy, so there is hope. The hope is they will succeed in finding a franchise QB at the end of the next season, one of the 3 we have. Possibly (and hopefully) without doubts or uncertanties. The best news is JimmyG is no more on the roster, at least one of the main uncertainty is permanently removed. If none of Purdy, Lance or Darnold will be a true franchise QBOTF the game is probably over for some years. My main fear is to be the SF Packers, always in contention never winning. Buy maybe it is just presason depression...
