A yuuuge amount of ground is covered in this article, well done again. I’m just hoping that all the new signings are insurance/backups until the minor injuries are recovered from. Also hoping Pettis keeps balling. Him lifting his game would be a big step for the entire offense over what we had last year (and we did ok then).
I think they really have a preference for Experienced players in this situation (maybe Praag’s analytics has some influence?). So like when they brought in Person (supposedly backup to Garland)—the old dog’s just have more years in the game and can step in with a general lvl of proficiency and more stubborn-ass fight for their spots? They clearly don’t hold injury histories against players (see Verrett, who I wouldn’t be surprised to see make it back—along the lines of how good McKinnon’s looking right now (crossing fingers that I don’t jinx them both)).
Just weird... like we sign Grasu when Kyle Long and Justin Britt are both just as experienced if not more, and more talented as well. Not to mention good scheme fits.
Signed Cyprien with Eric Reid, Tony Jefferson, etc. All doing the same thing at a higher level without being as injured.
Lol, more than me. I don’t think they’re looking for starters, or the “best” they can find. I can imagine Eric Reid wants a starting spot (and money?). They are probably confident that Richburg will be back, and Garland, soon. And can justifiably think Garland was solid (and Richburg was excellent). But I dk jack about cornerbacks/safeties. I still think Witherspoon is “good”.
Hey, nice job on the site so far. i agree on Clowney, he needs to make his decision soon. personally i was hoping the 49ers would take a look at Ron Leary at G but i trust shanahans judgement. grasu does not feel like a guy who will make the team but who knows
Good Article!! Crisp and concise but the information is all in there. Quote bemused about the Cyprien signing. Grasi - I can see why they would do it. Brown is also acceptable. Never knew why they signed Nelson

Yeah the signings are definitely just depth.
I just dont get why we are signing these guys... injury insurance players who are injury prone

Yeah, thats probably it.

List goes on, but hey, what do I know 😁

Interesting they waent deep with he WRs signings. Are they looking at Brown to be an insurance in case Jennings suffers the yips in TC?

Nice work, Riqo!

I'm pretty happy about the Cyprien signing. He is by no means great. But added competition for Harris is good and I really don't want to see Harris
With Tartt out there, yeah we do need depth. Harris though seems to be making progress
Anyone else struggling to enter slack? Channels wouldn't load and now it won't let me sign in...?
