Huge Mullens fan. Let me say it like this. Mullens probably isn't the guy to win your a SB, but TBH I have more confidence when I see him drop back to pass than Jimmy. Jimmy seems stuck in concrete and more indecisive. I've said it before, but I truly believe Mullens sees the field better, and his short/medium range passing is as good or better than Jimmy's. Our offense is not based on deep passes, so I'm totally fine rolling with Mullens. It's too bad for us we just lose him after the season, but I really hope he gets a chance to be a starter, he's clearly better than Daniel Jones lol.

I think Jimmy will be fine. Mullens had a solid game vs a bad team. If jimmy struggles though its Mullen time

one things for sure - Mullens playing this well today probably will give Kyle a little more trust in him - meaning he could sit Jimmy one more week just as a precaution.

Great job by the coaching staff this week to get back-ups assimilated into the game plan. And on the FO in the last few seasons building up the depth of the team.

Great game from Aiyuk... it's been a long time since we had a good first round WR! Dwelley played well and Jet showed why he's a receiving threat. Also good to see Wilson back out there.

The game seemed to slow down for Mullens as it went on and he got into a rhythm.

Aiyuk is going to get better and better which should be fun. Agree on Mullens - his throws were late/behind in the 1st half but as he progressed in the game he got more accurate every play.

Can't wait to get Aiyuk and Deebo on the field together. Two guys with the ability to stretch the defense downfield AND take advantage underneath. Plus take handoffs.

yup. I think Aiyuk will be better than Deebo - just more of a pure WR. So fast, soft hands, its all there with Aiyuk.

Your JDmetrics stat of the day: The (New York football) Giants have as many wins at MetLife Stadium since the beginning of 2019 (2) as the 49ers (2).

Some small mentions: although we didn’t punt, Wishnowsky was very good—bailed out a number of bad snaps to get points, and also extended the worst ones (drawing the penalty to get the score). Aiyuk and, particularly, Jeff Wilson Jr bailed out Mullens on multiple plays—making Mullens look much better that he was. (I just don’t see the “decisiveness” that others do. In the second half he finally started throwing to Aiyuk as soon as he saw him, but in the first half, he was aways double-pumping his throws—not letting them go on the first chance. I found that so infuriating, and that’s where Jimmy is more certain.)

And a small mention to the fan who, in yesterday’s comments called a final score of 39-9 and a big day out for BDN! That guy sure knows his football. He must be a monster in Fantasy! 😉

wink wink! Wow, really nice prediction. If Gould makes that FG in Q2 that prediction is perfect. Yes, Wishnowsky was excellent. Played very smart, especially drawing that penalty. I feel bad for the guy though, must be really stressful having to do that.

So is there any reason to bring Coleman back to the active Roster? I thought Jeff Wilson looked better today than he has this season.

Not really. With Cohen out for Chicago, I can see Shanny sending TeCo there. But you are right - Mostert and McKinnon are more than enough, and with Wilson and Hasty in the backfield too, Coleman is the odd man out.

Aldon Smith has 3 sacks, 3 TFLs, 5 QB hits, 3 tackles, and a PD and its 15 minutes left in the game.

Is Germ still bemoaning our fate? I don’t think we are that bad when it comes to offense; though, I think part of that is coaching & part of it is the guys we have on our offense; we even scored more points off the giants than the Steelers & our defense was pretty solid despite the injuries on the d-line; of course, that’s not saying much when your opposing qb is Daniel Jones; overall, I’d give us an A+ for an overall superb effort; the real litmus test though is our divisional games...keep up the good work team...keep up the good work...
